The Medistar Home Health Senior Leadership TeamBeth Roby Denton President, Owner, & Chief Executive Officer
Medistar’s owner and Chief Executive Officer, Beth Roby Denton, is a Louisiana native and an honors graduate of Louisiana State University. Beth is a Certified Public Accountant and was in public accounting for 17 years, first with Ernst & Young in Houston and Dallas, followed by the founding of her own firm of CPAs. In 1996, Beth joined a diversified healthcare organization, which included 25 home health offices throughout Louisiana. She served as its President and Chief Financial Officer and in 2004 purchased its north and central Louisiana home health agencies. Beth changed their names to Medistar Home Health in recognition of the starfish parable, to exemplify her heartfelt desire of Making a Difference in Home Health. She has shown her dedication to the Louisiana home health industry by having served on the Board of the Home Care Association of Louisiana and has been referred to by financial leaders as a “Management Marvel.” Beth is actively involved in the day-to-day management of Medistar as well as in the development and achievement of its strategic and financial goals.
Gina Creel, BSN, RN, COC-CChief Operating Officer
Gina Creel, BSN, RN, COS-C, Medistar's Chief Operating Officer, is an honors graduate of Ohio University, has been in the nursing profession since 1974 and in the home health field since 1994. Gina has been instrumental in Medistar's growth and success since 1998, where prior to 2004, she was Director of Clinical Operations for the home health division of the predecessor organization, a diversified healthcare organization.
Gina has published many articles on nursing issues, has served as a healthcare consultant and has been a speaker throughout the country on a variety of nursing and home health topics.
Gina manages Medistar's operations with a high level of standards, which has earned her the utmost respect from our employees, referral sources and patients and their caregivers. Her 36 years of experience in the health care industry and her commitment to quality and compliance ensure all agencies use sound and efficient methods.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Medistar’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dan Trahan, is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana and has over 20 years of experience in medical sales, marketing, and management. Dan’s sales leadership includes positions such as Senior Sales Representative, District Sales Manager, Director of Sales-Southeast Region, Director of Corporate Accounts, and Senior Director of National Accounts at companies such as Kimberly-Clark Health Care, Ingersoll-Rand Corporation and AMG Specialty Hospitals. In 2011, he moved back home to Louisiana to assume the position of VP of Sales and Marketing for a regional home health and hospice company, and he became an important part of Medistar’s management team in 2014. Dan is a highly regarded professional known for his high ethical standards and leadership skills. Dan has been described as a “fantastic coach and great strategist” and he brings tremendous talent and expertise to Medistar.
